Instructor bios


STEVE BOOKER
Steve Booker has a BS from Indiana University and an MSM from Oakland City University.  He has worked with Microsoft products for over 10 years and enjoys teaching others how to improve their skill sets and use these powerful tools.


CHRIS CINKOSKE

Chris Cinkoske is the founder and owner of ValuComp Computers.  He has over 25 years of experience in all areas of computer hardware and software as well as enterprise, network and internet applications.  Chris received both his Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science and his Bachelor of Science in Business Finance and Real Estate from Indiana University.  He enjoys teaching and interacting with students, and says he learns from his students in every class he teaches.


GERRY MASSE
Gerry Masse, a perennial-favorite instructor, has been teaching computer software in the area for 15 years. He’s a Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Certified Teacher, having passed Microsoft exams in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook. His interest in computers led him to Web and Graphic Design, and he is now a practiced instructor of Microsoft FrontPage, Macromedia Dreamweaver, Adobe PhotoShop and Adobe Illustrator.


KURT MESSICK
Kurt Messick teaches at Ivy Tech Community College, where he has worked since 1989. He attended school in Indiana, Britain and Australia, where he studied history, philosophy, political science, economics, and religious studies. He is the author of two books, and is a prolific contributor of reviews and essays on the Internet. History has always been a passion, for he believes that the better we know our past, the better we’ll be prepared for our future.


ROGER MORRIS
Roger Morris has taught a variety of computer courses on the Ivy Tech Bloomington campus since 1995. He has Master’s degrees in Instructional Systems Technology and Information Systems from Indiana University, and has been working with information technology for 20 years.


MATT O'NEILL

Matt O'Neill received his chef training in Dublin, Ireland.  A member of the American Culinary Federation and the American Hotel Association, as well as a member of the Indiana Writer's Center, Matt is the author of a successful cookbook, The Seasons at Walden Inn.  Matt continues his culinary pursuits with the Runcible Spoon, co-ownership of the R Street Bistro in Bedford, and co-ownership of The Bloomington Cooking School.


BILL PURSELL
Bill Pursell is a farmer, real estate broker, minister, businessman, and all-around go-to guy in Owen County. As
the owner of the Triple P Ranch for over 30 years, he has specialized in purebred and production bred livestock, including cattle (dairy and beef), goats (dairy and meat), sheep (fiber and wool), exhibition poultry, hogs, bees, and exotic animals. Bill is a past board member of the Owen County Fair Board, current president of the White River Poultry Association, and served for 30 years as chairman of the Owen Valley High School Agriculture Advisory Consortium, now known as Life Sciences.

AGGIE SARKISSIAN

Aggie grew up working in her Armenian family's grocery store, and learned to cook at a from her parents and grandparents. Over the past 30 years, her love of food and entertaining has grown.  She's the proud co-owner of a catering company called Word of Mouth.


CHARLES SAVAGE
Charles Savage, a local freelance writer and photographer, is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Journalism where he had the good fortune to have studied with nationally-renowned photojournalism professors.  Ever since, Charles has enjoyed sharing his knowledge and his enthusiasm for photography with photographers of all levels of experience.


CECILIA WILHELM, CLU
Cecilia Wilhelm, CLU, has been in the insurance business since the early 1980s, first as an agent, then as a manager. She has almost 20 years' experience training agents, the last four years teaching the Life and Health Prelicensing exam course. Cecilia and her husband have spent the last few winters in Florida, living on their sailboat.
