Selection to the nursing programs is based on a competitive admissions process.

With a one-year technical certificate in Practical Nursing from Ivy Tech Community College-Bloomington, you will gain practical, work-related skills that can build a good foundation for pursuing a two-year Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) degree, also offered by the College.

This will prepare you to take the exam to become a registered nurse (RN). After you have completed your ASN degree, you may choose to pursue your bachelor’s degree. You may do this by transferring to a four-year institution, or by continuing your education via distance education or online.

Ask your Program Chair or Advisor about DegreeLink. If you want to stay on the road to higher education, a master’s or doctoral degree can then be earned. Ivy Tech Community College-Bloomington will be happy to facilitate the advancement of your nursing career.
