New Student OrientationIf you are a degree-seeking student, a transfer from another college, a first-time student, or just taking a few classes, every entering student should attend the “New Student Orientation” to Ivy Tech Community College and the Bloomington campus.
Every college orientation is unique in what it offers its students and Ivy Tech Community College is no exception. Our orientation program will provide information and materials on the following topics:
- Our College, our campus, our culture!!
- Your academic life at Ivy Tech: getting started in the right direction
- Help is available: Resources and services to help you succeed!!
- How technology can work for YOU!
- Student Life and activities at the Bloomington campus
- Financial Aid: Grants, awards, loans, and scholarships can be yours!!
- The life of an Ivy Tech student: A student panel will provide insight from the student perspective
Whether a student has just submitted an application for admission or they have completed the entire registration process, they should plan to attend the “New Student Orientation”. Parent(s) or significant other (No children, please!) should plan to join as well, as the information provided will assist them in supporting their student’s goals at the College.
Orientation will be held in early August for Fall 2008.
