City council candidates focus of forum tonight at Ivy Tech

Candidates in the contested Bloomington City Council district races will answer questions tonight in the first council candidates forum. The public is encouraged to attend and submit questions.

WHAT: The forum for city council Districts 2, 5 and 6 is hosted by the League of Women Voters of Bloomington-Monroe County. The league is partnering with Ivy Tech Community College-Bloomingon, where the forum will take place in the student commons at 200 Daniels Way.

WHO: Candidates scheduled to participate:

District 2 — Jillian Kinzie, D, and Brad Wisler, R.
District 5 — Alicia Graves, R, and Isabel Piedmont, D.
District 6 — Marjorie Hudgins, R, and Steve Volan, D.

WHEN:The 7-9 p.m. forum will be filmed by Bloomington Cable Access Television and moderated by Keith Klein of Ivy Tech.
