Scholarships available for Ivy Tech students

Students at Ivy Tech-Bloomington will have the opportunity to apply for up to $30,000 a year in scholarship money to pursue a four-year degree at an accredited college or university.

The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation is opening up the nomination process for students who plan to transfer to a four-year college or university.

The foundation will award 50 scholarships this spring to students who are nominated by a faculty representative at their community college or two-year institution.

Students may apply for the scholarship program through Ivy Tech-Bloomington. The deadline for the nominations is Feb. 1, 2008.

Though up to $30,000 can be awarded per individual, the final amount may vary according to such factors as the total cost of the institution where the recipient will attend. Current students and alumni who have earned a degree within the last four years (since 2003) are also eligible to apply for a nomination.
