![]() Ivy Tech marketing staffers win awardsH-T report of local business news ![]() Daniel McDeavitt, Penni Sims, Mark Howard BLOOMINGTON — The National Council for Marketing and Public Relations awarded three Paragon Awards to Ivy Tech Community College-Bloomington’s marketing department during its annual national conference in San Diego. NCMPR’s Paragon Awards, one of the only national competitions of its kind, honors marketing and public relations professionals at two-year colleges. The marketing department received a gold Paragon Award for the college’s Grow Ivy Tech fundraising campaign in the category of promotional campaign for a special event. The department received a silver Paragon Award in the same category for the O’Bannon Institute for Community Service. The college’s continuing education program won a silver Paragon Award for its Spring 2006 class schedule. Ivy Tech’s marketing department includes director of civic engagement Mark Howard; former coordinator of marketing and communications, webmaster and graphic designer Daniel McDeavitt; and director of marketing and communications Penni Sims. The college’s marketing team also received five NCMPR Medallion Awards at the organization’s regional conference in October. |
