Martin Donnelly to lead local SBDC

Martin Donnelly has been named the new regional director of the South Central Indiana Small Business Development Corp.

Ivy Tech Community College-Bloomington Chancellor John Whikehart announced Donnelly’s new position Thursday. Ivy Tech hosts the regional SBDC, whose staff become Ivy Tech employees under federal and state grant funding.

Donnelly replaces Brian Kleber, who resigned from the director’s position earlier this year to take a job in the private sector.

“We are delighted to have such an experienced professional in technology join our college,” Whikehart said in a statement. “Donnelly brings over 25 years of experience in large-scale management of the global economy. His experience, combined with his commitment to our community, will ensure that we stay on top of innovative businesses in the life sciences arena and beyond.”

Donnelly is the former director of both the information systems graduate programs and graduate accounting programs at Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.
