Ivy Tech Community College has various award programs that recognize faculty members who best exemplify excellence in instruction and in representing the mission of the College. Each of the fourteen regions of the College selects one faculty member to receive the President’s Award for Excellence in Instruction (March). This award is presented annually and each recipient receives a commemorative plaque and a $500 professional development grant. Past recipients are eligible for re-nomination.
The fourteen recipients then have the opportunity to form the pool from which one will emerge as the recipient of the Glenn W. Sample Award for Excellence in Instruction (June). This award is presented annually and the recipient receives a commemorative medallion, an after-tax award of $500, and a $1,000 grant for instructional supplies and materials.
