1. Submit the Application for Admission.
You can apply online at www.ivytech.edu/bloomington or submit a hard copy. You can obtain an
Application for Admission by phoning (812) 330-6350 or toll free (866) 447-0700, ext. 6350.
2. Submit all high school, GED and official college transcripts.
3. Complete the COMPASS assessment.*
4. Finalize your financial aid arrangements.
5. Register for classes**.
Online and phone registration are available.
Walk-in registration is available on campus .
6. Sign up for Orientation!
7. Pay tuition and fees, and buy your books.
8. Begin classes!
Currently Enrolled Students
The early bird catches the worm! If you enroll early, you will get first choice on all your classes! Make an appointment with your advisor by scheduling an appointment online through the Appointment Manager.

Transfer Students
Whether you are transferring to Ivy Tech permanently or simply enrolling in course work, please submit official transcripts from all other colleges attended to the Registrar's Office (Room A136) or by fax, directly from the issuing college, at (812) 330-6106.

Members of our team will meet with you to discuss academic programs, the registration process, the COMPASS assessment, and anything else you need to know about enrolling at Ivy Tech.
*The COMPASS assessment is administered through our Testing Center. The Math portion is waived if you have a math SAT score of 460 or higher or a Math ACT score of 19 or higher. The English portion is waived if you have a verbal SAT score of 460 or higher or a verbal ACT score of 19 or higher. Completing college level course work in Math and English with a grade of C or higher also waives the COMPASS.
** New students are advised to take the following their first semester:
- IVY 120: New Student Seminar (see advising information)*
- An English course
- A math course
- A beginning program course
