Workforce Certification and Testing Center
The Bloomington Testing Center is a member of the NCTA (National College Testing Association). We administer a variety of assessments, certification exams, and provide academic testing. We also send out all Internet exams to proctors at other sites and we proctor exams for students from other colleges and universities. Academic testing and placement testing are done on a walk-in basis. Most certification and licensure exams are done by scheduling with the exam vendor while others are done by contacting the Testing Center.

Monday – Thursday…..9:00 a.m. – 9::00 p.m.
Friday ………………...9:00 a.m. – 5::00 p.m.
2nd Saturday………… .10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
All tests must be completed before closing time.
Testing Center will not extend hours.
In Between Semester Walk-in Hours:
Monday – Thursday…..9:00 a.m. – 6::00 p.m.
Friday ………………...9:00 a.m. – 5::00 p.m.

If you are traveling a long distance, please call to verify testing hours at 812-330-6137 or toll free at 866-447-0700 or email at detest@bloomington.ivytech.edu a day in advance.
Exam Day Rules
- No cell phones, electronic devices, purses, backpacks, etc. are allowed in the test room.
- No food or drink is allowed in the test room.
- Picture ID is required for all tests with every visit.
- Please do not bring valuables to the Testing Center. Testing Center is not responsible for any lost or stolen items. There are lockers for your convenience.
- Children are not permitted to wait in the Testing Center. Please make child care arrangements ahead of time.
- Please know your course number, exam name/number, and instructor’s name. We have many exams housed in the Testing Center and some courses have several different instructors.
- The Testing Center attempts within reason to ensure a quiet and comfortable testing environment for everyone. Ear plugs are available to help block noise distractions. For your testing comfort, you may want to bring layers of clothing to adjust to the climate in the Testing Center.
- For your safety and security, the Test Center is monitored and recorded by video surveillance systems.
