Ivy Tech Community College was approved by the State of Indiana in April 2002 to be a provider of Continuing Renewal Units (CRU’s), which are required for Indiana master’s degreed teachers to renew their state teaching licenses.

The Indiana Professional Standards Board, which administers the state’s teacher licensing and sets continuing education requirements, approved Ivy Tech as a provider of credit and non-credit courses that can be counted for CRU s. The state of Indiana requires teachers to earn a total of 90 Certification Renewal Units every five years to keep their license current
